Alumni & Relations

The London Office provides support and office accommodation and location/ address for all active UK based Alumni associates of our public universities. The various Alumni association provide their programme of activation with regular meeting at the London office. Their activities including donations of book and equipment to their various of book and equipment to their various universities through the London office. The London office have established links with a number of lounger past Institutes in the UK for research and exchange link with our universities in Ghana. Some of these counters past institutions include the following:
Donation of Study Material to Universities of Ghana
The London office as part of its remit on a regular basis do appeal to law school, NHS Trust, Hospitals, Medical Institutions and other Institutions in the UK for the donation of equipment/ textbook, Journals, CDs and cogent publication which are surplus to their requirement for an universities in Ghana.
Conference and Meetings

The Office work in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission in its policy implementation in respect of our study follows and fully represented at the regular monthly meetings of Heads of Para-statal organisations where an update campus report of the public universities is submitted.

Foreign Student requirement /Exchange the London Offices do encourage foreign student to apply for admission to our universities in Ghana. Interested foreign student should contact the London Office for further details. Foreign student can apply for consideration and admission as full time, occasional student consideration is also given to foreign medical student who proper to for their electives in Ghana.

Visa

The London Offices assist with the entry Visa Application for all newly appointed non- Ghanaian and Foreign expatriates academic/ senior administrative staff to Ghana. The entry visa application can now be applied for online by visiting the Ghana High Commission website at www.ghanahighcommissionuk.com and click visa forum.

Opportunities

The London office encourages qualities Ghanaians in the Diaspora to apply for various academic and senior administrative positions in our universities. The Universities provide one way air ticket and shipping allowances for the successful application and their families on first appointment. There are indeed opportunities for both Ghanaians and non-Ghanaian interested in talking up job position in our public universities in Ghana.

Courses

All the public universities in Ghana offer very good courses in Medical, Administration, Management, Accounting, Business, IT, Mining, Engineering, Pharmacy, Tourism, Social Science, Planning etc. The Various Courses can be assessed at the Universities website

Relations With Various International Bodies.
The Overseas Office during the year interacted and worked together with various international organisations and institutions in the areas of higher education/research and represented the Universities at workshops, seminars and conferences organised by the counterpart institutions in the UK.
Some of these organisations include the following:

2 The British Council (Higher Education division).
3 The Royal Society of Arts & Sciences (International Collaboration Division).
4 The Council of International Education Exchange (CIEE).
5 Universities UK (UUK).
6 HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council).
7 The Ghana Cocoa Growing Research Association Limited, (GCGRA) London.
8 The Commonwealth Professional Fellowship Scheme.

The Overseas Office continues to be a valuable member of the interview/selection committee for the Commonwealth Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme, tenable at Universities in Ghana.

The Office from time to time do receive enquiry from Association of Commonwealth Universities for establishing a Partnership for African Social & Governance Research with an institution in Ghana.
